La lámpara maravillosa / The marvellous lamp
El gran bazar de Estambul, kapali çarsi en turco, es un sitio muy curioso, ya que es un centro comercial cubierto construido en la edad media: un montón de callejuelas y tiendas atestadas de objetos para vender. A mi me llamó la atención esta tienda de lámparas. Tendremos que buscar la lámpara de Aladino.

Yerebatan Sarnici, Istanbul
La Cisterna de Yerebatan és la més gran de les 60 construïdes a tot Istanbul durant l'època bizantina. Es va construir en pocs mesos, l'any 532, emprant 336 columnes romanes procedents de temples pagans de l'Anatòlia, la majoria d'estil corinti. Ocupa una àrea de 10000 m² i té 8 metres d'alçada amb una capacitat de 30 milions de litres. Es va utilitzar fins al segle XIV com a cisterna d'aigua i a mitjans del segle XIX va ser restaurada després de ser usada com a magatzem de fusta. Es va haver de construir per eliminar la vulnerabilitat que significava la destrucció durant els setges de l'aqüeducte de Valent.
Tot fent una passejada relaxant amb música clàssica i il·luminacions acurades s'arriba al fons on hi ha els famosos dos caps de meduses, una al revés i l'altra de costat, sobre les quals hi reposen dues columnes.

Rumelihisari (Rumeli Fortress) #1 - Istanbul
Rumelihisari is a fortress located in Istanbul, Turkey on a hill at the European side of the Bosporus just north of the Bebek district; giving the name of the quarter around it.
It was built by the Ottoman (Fatih-) Sultan Mehmed II between 1451 and 1452, before he conquered Constantinople. The three great towers were named after three of Mehmed II's vezirs, Sadrazam Candarli Halil Pasha, who built the big tower next to the gate, Zaganos Pasha, who built the south tower, and Sarica Pasha, who built the north tower.

Saint Antoine Church which is located in the center of a courtyard is entered through the gate on the roadside between two apartment buildings which were built to provide funding for the church. The church was built by concrete, and has neogothic style.

Puerta de la biblioteca de Celso II
La Biblioteca de Celso es uno de los edificios más espectaculares de Éfeso. Fue construida por Gayo Julio Aquila en el año 110 d. C., como monumento conmemorativo para su padre Julio Celso Polemano que fue gobernador antes que él y murió a los 70 años
La construcción se completó por los sucesores de Gayo en el año 135 d. C. Él había donado 25.000 dinares para finalización de las obras y el mantenimiento de la biblioteca después de su muerte. La tumba de su padre era una estancia especial bajo el suelo.
